The GDRC has partnered with the Gagetown School and the Gagetown Special Care Home to provide our Adopt a Grandparent program. The Adopt a Grandparent program connects seniors with youth volunteers, the Gagetown Schools’ Leadership group, and students within our community. All participants will have the opportunity to participate in various supervised activities including: story-telling, cards, cribbage, chess, art and crafts, table tennis, shuffle board, pool, pumpkin painting, sewing, pottery, jewelry and ornament making, and more. - Friday, SEPTEMBER 28TH @ 915-10:30AM (every Friday excluding PD days, storm days, Holidays, etc.).
- Activities included: Pottery, Stamp Collection, Crafting, Painting, Sewing, BINGO, Board Games, Fire Dept demonstrations, Baking and more;
- This program will be held at the Gagetown Community Recreation Centre (38 Mill Rd) and/or the Gagetown Special Care Home (142 Tilley Rd);
- Volunteers are always needed;
- Bring a smile!
Did you know? The GDRC Adopt a Grandparent Program was titled, “Horizon NB’s Community Health Recognition Winner” of 2017-2018, as well as earning $500 toward our program!
