Do You Want to Become a GDRC Volunteer?
Do you want to become a volunteer? Do you want to give back to your community? Well, we have the answers for you! The GDRC are always needing volunteers to help deliver programs and services to the community for the community. From the people who donate, pick up, sort, and transport bottles for recycling, to anyone who can push a shovel full of snow, we are always looking for volunteers. When you live in a rural area, many services which are taken for granted in a town are only available if we find a way to provide them for ourselves… and that’s just what we intend to do! Some volunteer opportunities we have ongoing include:
Event Volunteers Needed
Want to be part of a great organization but can’t commit a specific amount of time? Sign up to be an event volunteer! We will contact you when we have an opportunity and you can let us know if you are available! Fundraisers, BBQ’s ticket sales, etc. No Specific time commitment required.
Youth & Senior Program Volunteers Needed
Volunteers needed for various evening and weekend programs such as: Youth & Teen Drop-ins, Summer Programming for KIDS, Soccer, Learn to Play, Soccer, Mixed Slo-Pitch, Taekwondo, Adult 55+, Coed Multi-Sport, etc. Time required is as little as 1 – 1.5 hours per week.
