    The GDRC Summer Soccer Program kick back into action EVERY MONDAY & THURSDAY @ 6:30PM at the Gagetown School fields. Look out for our students who will be on site collecting memberships and registrations! FYI - GR 3 is looking for players 12+ including high school players to have a scrimmage.

    Interested in playing recreational softball? The GDRC Mixed SP League is 75% social and 25% sport. We do have volunteer umpires/officials; and we expect individuals to respect the league’s culture of fair and fun play.

    The GDRC will be selling clothing (tees, long sleeves and hoodies) to raise money for the “Field of Dreams” project. For those not familiar with this project, the GDRC in partnership with the Village of Gagetown and the Blue Jays Care Foundation will be building our very own Field of Dreams...a brand new ball field!

    Youth will experience excitement, enjoyment, and success. Activities and lead-up games are patterned after informal playground games that promise an hour of FUN and LOTS OF ACTION. Participants will go home at the end of the day happy and tired, while improving their fitness level.

GDRC Rink Schedule 2018

Rink Rules & Regulations

  1. Failure to follow the rules of the Community Recreation Centre Facilities will result in the loss of rink privileges. The decision of the volunteer supervisor or staff is final.
  2. All persons using the rink and facilities do so at their own risk. The indoor facilities may not always be open during Open Ice times or Recreational Hockey play (dependent on staff/volunteer availability).
  3. The School District policy states that ALL students in ALL grades must wear hockey helmets while on the ice during school hours. There are a few available for use at the rink. Parents are advised to encourage their children to wear helmets while skating at any time and the appropriate hockey gear while playing pick up hockey. Younger children should not play in the evening sessions.
  4. NO HOCKEY STICKS OR PUCKS ON THE ICE DURING PUBLIC SKATE TIME.
  5. No smoking allowed in the recreation centre. No alcoholic beverages allowed on the premises. No spitting in the building. No using indoor tabletops or games.
  6. No roughhousing (pushing & shoving) or foul language at any time. Please respect the rules and each other.
  7. STAY OFF THE ICE AT ALL TIMES WHEN “ICE NOT SUITABLE FOR SKATING” SIGN IS DISPLAYED IN FRONT OF REC. CENTRE.
  8. Pick up all garbage, including hockey tape, and put in garbage cans. Water and pop bottles, cans and juice boxes to be placed in the recycle container. Keep the building neat and tidy at all times. Other groups also use the building.
  9. It may be necessary to adjust the schedule due to special events, activities, programs, and rentals. Absolutely no interruptions while activities/events are in session.
  10. ALL PERSONS playing Recreational Hockey are required to stay to scrape the ice so flooding may be done. If the ice is not scraped flooding will not be done.
  11. ALL PERSONS using our facilities MUST have a valid GDRC Membership for insurance purposes, no exceptions!
